WeatherTech Mats

Thinking about putting a set of Gray WeatherTech mats in a 2013 FX4 which has a black interior. Anybody try this and how does it look?

I put a set of black WeatherTech mats in my Traverse which also has a black interior. Always wish I had gone lighter to brighten up the inside.

Thx

There is another thread about all weather floor mats on page 2 where various types and makes are discussed. My truck has a grey interior but black carpet so I went black WT mats. I considered the grey ones but thought it would be too grey inside....and not enough contrasting colors. My exterior is also silver. What color is your exterior? That would influence the decision process as well.
My 2 cents

My exterior will be ruby red. The dash and center console has some silver on it which is what makes me think that the gray mats could work. Otherwise lots of black inside with the FX4.

Go with same color as carpet. Will look much better. My opinion, going with opposite color looks out of place. I have had my weathertechs since I bought my 2005 f150 lariat. Still look like new. Best floormat on the market for looks, fit and wear.

I agree. Match your carpet. I just got my first set of weathertechs for my Tuxedo Black FX2 with black carpet and they look and fit perfectly!

Recently purchased a full set of mats for my new 2013 Kings Ranch. Although they seem like a good product be aware that you may need to do some "trimming" to have an exact fit. The rear mats need to be cut to fit around the Sony subwoofer in my truck. I think that the term "digital fit" is a little deceiving when you have to modify in order make a proper fit. I called the company to ask about this and they stated that there's a disclaimer on the website that states this, "Does Not Fit models equipped with vinyl flooring.

Rear Liner requires designated trim for models equipped with 1st row bench seating or the optional subwoofer."

It says that only after you hover your curser over a small "important fit note"

Just an FYI for you all!

I choose the All Weather mats from Ford over the weather tech and I couldn be happier. Perfect fit and the F150 emblem on them is a nice touch!! Cheap too, paid 73 bucks for them from Ford.

I have the weather techs for mine and they fit great. Glad I made the purchase despite how expensive they are. As for the disclaimer it was clearly stated on autoanythings website when I bought mine regading the trimming possibilities.

To close the loop.

I ordered a set of grey mats. Figured I could exchange them if I did not like them. They looked good in the front. There is enough silver trim, speakers, etc up there that they blend right in. Problem was in the rear cab which is a SCREW - it is a very large mat which kind of dominates the color scheme and it did not look right. I was willing to live with it but my wife was pretty clear that my matching issue with clothing had transfer to my truck. Sent them back and now have the black and they look good. Will have to spray them down from time to time in the winter to keep the salt off.

Thanks for the advice.
