Have a 2012 fx2 5.0. I just recently started opening the back cab window. Every time i go through the smallest bump,my bed sqeaks. I never noticed it before but it is getting very annoying. Is something like this covered under warranty? Less then 4,000 miles by the way.

It's probably the leafs or the shackles, not the bed.

No, that's normal, especially if its been wet or humid outside. The rubber bushings squeak. If you take it to the dealership more than likely all they'll do is just put something like wd40 on them to make it stop for a few weeks.

 

If its a high pitched squeak, try opening the tailgate and slamming it shut. My 06 and now my 11 do this. It's the latch and striker on mine. A good slamming or wd40 get rid of it for a whole but it eventually comes back.

 

I agree, it's probably the tailgate. Mine does the same thing. Sprayed it with white lithium. I live on a dirt road and it was driving me crazy. If you shut the tailgate, grab the top and push it back and forth you will hear it squeak.

 

Hmmm, normally I'm pretty happy when my bed is squeaking...

do you have a tailgate step? if so its more likely that's your issue with squeaking.

 

No step, its probably just the tailgate.

That's what happens when only "senior members" respond...lol.

Back to OP; have same issue. Mine is a 2013 and really surprised how noisy the truck bed is when driving over bumps and such.
