I had 4wp install my bilstiens and they had to use a camber kit on my 06. I had them adjusted to the highest level. I'm not to fond of mine. Have you had them installed yet ? How do you like them?

Please show us some pics when you get it completed. I am looking at the 0.75" Bilstein lift as well but pics are hard to find. Most people go with the higher settings.

Park your truck on level ground and take a picture of it. Measure the ground to wheel arch distance. Put a jack under the frame of the truck and apply enough pressure to raise the front of your truck so the measurement changes the 3/4 inch you are talking about. Take another picture.............

When you compare the 2 pics side by side, you will see the difference.

IMHO, the lowest setting on the Bilsteins in not worth the premium price you will pay for them. For such a small change, I think a small spacer is a better choice.

What he said^. For the price of the bilsteins if you just want 3/4" you'd be much better off getting a spacer, unless your buying the bilsteins because coil-overs on your truck have worn out too.

Well I went ahead and let them install it. Argued with them so they did it for $75. They told me it will make it a lot easier in the future to align the truck. I do know that I the truck rides smooth at tracks perfect down the road no pull.

I hear ya about the price of bilsteins vs spacer but I want the improved ride and handling.

I realize I can jack it up but I would really like to see the 3/4" setting with some 33" A/T's so I can see my potential setup. I would love to go with the higher settings but I think they look best with 34" tires which I am not interested in since I run 3.55 gears. As well the higher I point the noise it will get even higher when towing. So I am compromising my lift/tire setup to maintain good towing without having to spend money on airbags to keep the rear end in check when towing. Looking to be well balanced if you know what I mean.

So MHP do you have any pics?

Cheef, I hope this works. This is with 5100's on the first notch above stock with 32" tires. The tire fit without the 3/4" lift so i believe 33" should fit just fine

As long as you don't take the lower control off or loosen the bolts to the control arms, you don't need to adjust the camber, that being said, anytime you change the height of the truck, you will change the tow (in / out) when you raise the truck, it will cause tow-in, so it will need to be reset. You can buy the camber kits and put them in yourself, just do one bolt at a time, take the bolt out, and put the camber bolt back in and tighten, then move to the next one. Just jack the truck up from the frame to take the weight off the control arm before you start .

It will cause a change to camber, not toe. It pushes the lower control arm lower, causing the the bottom of the tire inward and the top outward. That is camber not toe. Toe would be the front of the tire going inward or outward.

Hey Kingfish, not trying to start a pissing match, but if you change camber you will have to change the tow.

That is possible, but the big change will be the camber since the inside of the lower A arm is fixed and the fulcrum. Pushing it down causes it to swing inward. Further you push, the farther inward.

Did that same kit at my dealership and they realighed it with no issues nothing else needed.

I took it to them first and they wanted to do the same but ford was actually cheaper and they didn't ask me for another kit either. Mine was also on the 2" mark so taller then yours as well.

Thanks for the PIC! More would be nice if you get the time Truck looks nice. Maybe it's the angle but is it 2wd or 4wd? Your tire size indicates a 4wd.

How do you like the ride and handling?

It is 2wd that i put slightly bigger tires on..it still has a little rake to it about 3/4" little less maybe. The ride in my opinion is better than stock, the bilsteins did a good job of smoothing it out and because i only lifted the front 3/4" I do not notice it being any stiffer. Cornering is a huge improvement and the rear end hop i would sometimes feel has mostly gone away.
