Finally picked up my new truck!
Actually, I picked it up last Wednesday, but have been too busy to get on here with some pics until now. So, lets start with those-

Still trying to figure out the MFT completely(hence the picture of Frodo lol), but for the most part it doesnt bug me. I personally happen to be of the opinion that people have too high of expectations of these types of systems and as such are dissapointed when they dont work as fantastically as they think that they should-I dont. It does exactly what I ask it to do, and I have no problems with it. The new HID's are fantastic, astronomically better than the crappy standard lights on the F150. The Sony sounds system diassapoints me, but is better than the ohhh so bad stock sound system. I have also been somewhat impressed with the winter driveability of the Goodyears-better then many of the all seasons I have had before. Overall, I am of course very happy with my new truck.
I have already had it winterized, had a set of OEM molded flaps added, and had a spray in bedliner installed. The list of accessories that are on my list right now(in no particular order)-
Weathertech Mats
Rollaway Bedcover
LED Driving Light Bar(Rigid?)
Powerscope Mirrors(depending upon functionality and price)
LED Taillights and Third Eye
A Set of OEM Side Steps
Prolly not gonna do much until summer though. When I do start modding I will be sure to start up a progress thread though. In the meantime, I will just enjoy my new truck as is!

Looks great.
Those weathertechs will come in handy with all that white stuff on the ground.
I checked into the powerscope mirrors, about $1500. OUCH!!! I had them on my 250 and loved them but not for that kind of money.

That is Purdy!
I think I'm gonna pop for a set of the Powerscopes too. I don't know how many times I get set up, hope back in the truck, put my seatbelt on, check everything only to realize I forgot to extend my mirrors

Thank you very much, and perhaps you should go buy yourself one as well. The incentives are good
.
Thank you very much, and I have been. My fiance has been laughing at me because I find every reason under the sun to go driving("What, we are out of nutmeg? Ohhh ****, we cant be out of nutmeg, I will run to the store right now at 11:30 at night to get nutmeg. Its an emergency.......". lol)
Thank you very much. I am thinking the weathertechs will be handy as well. Here in Fairbanks we are "lucky" enough to have snow on the ground 6-7mos out of the year, so they would definitely get plenty of use. In terms of the powerscopes, if they are $1500 I may have to pass on them as well. I love the visibility that the TT mirrors provide, but I would have a hard time justifying spending that kind of money on them. But, maybe the price will come down as production catches up to demand or maybe I can find a good set of takeoffs from a wrecked truck. Fortunately, its not a pressing need so I can bide my time on picking up a set....

Very nice, enjoy!!

The way I understand it, it is plug and play. The door panel has to come off. Then the harness unplugs from the mirror, remove the bolts and the mirror comes off. Just do the swap. One of my mirrors got damaged shortly after I got the truck. After I had it replaced the dealer gave me the old mirror back. There's no wireing on the back of it, just a plug for the harness to plug into. Your current mirror control switch will have to be replaced with the one that controls the extend/fold feature. It should mount the same. From what I understand, you put the switch into the center neutral position. Then you pull the **** back to fold the mirrors, or push the **** forward to extend them. That's if I found the correct information when I googled it. But yea, I'm gonna do it soon.

And the P-scope equipped trucks have a control that looks like this-

Notice that slightly different top piece to the door panel as well as(obviously) the p-scope switch? Makes me wonder if the door panel will actually have to be replaced or if the p-scope switch will fit on the panel I already have.
Also, after looking at the parts diagram from ford-

Looks like it is necessary to replace the door panel as well. Ohh, and double bonus-

The mirrors have an MSRP over $1k each. Uch, wish these things werent so damn expensive.

huh, I just looked it up too. didn't realize there was a seperate switch to extend the mirrors. I guess what I initially looked at was just for the regular power fold mirrors. I can't image ford redesigning a door panel just to add a switch. It looks like the raised panel may just be a trim piece. And the two switches mount into the door panel. So then buy the switch for extending the mirrors (I will also have to buy the switch like yours for the power fold) and the new trim piece. There also maybe an adapter harness to add to the current wiring. Actually seems pretty straight forward.
"Yabba-Dabba-Do" (my Fred Flinstone impression), that's a nice-un. You know it's funny, as you said about the MFT system I was thinking the same about the Sony. I think it sounds fine, however the first car I owned had an AM radio with a dash speaker.
I may have gave away my age with that one.

I would settle for just having the towing mirrors power fold. I could live with manually extending them and use the switch I have. It would be plug and play.
Would not be hard to adapt a switch to the door panel either.
Unfortunately, the best price I have gotten is $1500 for the pair in black.
I will give it a few months and look for a wreck also.
