makeshift CAI..

find this not too long ago. he claims he has gotten 40 ft. lbs. more torque from just a bolt on K&N fliter and says its a CAI. says it will probably run 14s in the 1/4 mile and even says it will probably out-tow the eco boost. but isnt his setup just sucking in more hot air and actually worse than the intake that came stock?

when i moved to ohio i was pulling a 6x12" uhaul fully loaded at about 7000 lbs. that, the wind, sleet, snow and hills i was going up i was getting around 10 mpgs..thats with a towing tune and 93 octane the whole way. i may be wrong but i thought a CAI was isolated from the rest of the engine bay so it wouldnt suck in hot air from the engine bay. i cant remember who it is but someones sig pic says "Wasoobo..more hot air for the clueless"..
