Fog Light replacemnts

I just picked up my 2013 F150 FX4 with HIDs. I need to replace the fog lamps because they are dull compared to the HIDs. Anybody upgraded their fog lights if so what did you use to get them close to the color of the HIDs?

Go with some LED ones, they can get pretty close to the HID look

Not sure what you're talking about? Don't think he asked for HID fogs and he has a 2013, so it came with HID's from the factory I think. Maybe I read something wrong.....

I wonder what the size of the OEM LED foglights on the new Mustangs is? What size is the one in our trucks currently?

The 2013 F150 factory fogs are 9140. They put out 3000 Kelvins. The factory HIDs put out somewhere between 5000 and 6000 Kelvins. Now what I am trying to get is fogs that are close to the HIDs that are direct replacements. They don't have to be HIDs. I put 9145 Sylvania Silver stars in and they got closer but still very noticeable.

V-LEDS.com has the best, and they range from 5-6K LED fog bulbs. H10 will fit your truck, same as the 2012 - and I run these.

Here are mine.

Leave them alone or retro fit them.....sometimes hids or projectors in the fog light position are counterproductive in bad weather......imo

Man these guys just don't get it he's trying to make them match it's about looks not how well they'll work and honestly my HID Driving lights since they are "White" not yellow they aren't true fog lights work fine and are bright as hell... my Headlights and Fogs are brighter and fan more light than my HID Hi Beams... I get it bro do what you're wanting to do... drop in a set of 6k HID's in a 9140 and you'll be straight...

I believe functionality to be more of a realistic goal for a daily driver.....now if its a show truck drive it during the day and keep it off the streets at night so the glare doesn't blind others.....

HIDs in stock halogen reflector bowls are not the best of the best....

5k would be closer to oem....

ryanwagner, which V-Leds did you use? Their "High Power" or their "XB High Power"?

Just ordered the RI Dually D2s from Keith at Autoplicity. Best price and I think the look great. The haters can bite me!

Thanks man.

Sorry, one more question. Is your grill painted tuxedo black? If so, did you just take your factory grill to a body shop or did you order a new OE grill and have that painted?

Reason I ask is it looks really clean in the pictures above and I've been thinking about either purchasing a '12 Harley grill for my sterling grey FX2 or getting it painted to match the body.
