Rear slider Defroster?

I had a rear power slider installed at purchase of 2012 STX. The window has the lines for defroster but the dealer did not connect it. Is it unreasonable for me to expect them to connect it? I was sold a "Ford factory window" and assumed it would have the same features as a factory installed window. Dealer says not possible.

It sounds like your dealer sold you something without knowing how to complete the job. Your truck may need more wiring, modules, switches etc to make it work like OEM.

Do you have the defrost button? You may have to change out the a/c and heat controls to get it.

It does not have the button and now I understand why they are fighting me on this.

My '10 XLT has a seperate switch for activating the rear defroster (on the slider window) and heated mirrors.
