Many new vehicles now come with an innovative new feature where the engine automatically shuts off when the vehicle’s computer determines it is not needed. This increases fuel economy while at the same time reducing wear on critical engine components. Ford – always trying to be one step ahead of their competitors – has taken this feature to the next level as you have found out. Extensive testing by Ford Engineers determined that while some fuel was being used / wasted at stop lights, even more fuel was being used / wasted at higher speeds. So, shutting the engine off at higher speeds should save even more fuel. So, how’s it working out for you?

But seriously, take the truck back to the dealer since it’s still under warranty and get fixed properly. Properly diagnosing problems like that over the internet is next to impossible.
