Got Homelink? Don't want it? Got an FX4 09-10?

I've got an 09 FX4 with no homelink in my visor and hate having to carry a garage door opener... anyone not need their homelink and think it's annoying? Wanna trade? Homelink is the three buttons for the garage door opener if you weren't aware... I know it's a long shot but hey I can ask right? I'm in Jacksonville FL... Local would be kewl but will deal with what i can find...

Plenty of places that sell Ford OEM parts cheaper than the dealer online.

By the way, you never said what color you needed.

My FX4 has all black visors and headliner. I just did a search and found a few used ones. I'm not sure what color visor a 2010 Platinum has but it's $95 (1-800-822-5555)
2010 F250 light tan for $40 (269-925-0035)
2010 F150 light gray $100 (269-925-0035)

Just be careful. I looked into this and my 2010 FX2 did not have the wiring in place. I pulled my old visor out and nothing was there. Just a warning. Make sure te connector is there 1st.

The power for the Homelink is easy to run if its not there. I've done it in a few cars. You just run the wires to the fuse box or splice into something like the over headlight. You could also buy a Homelink mirror.

You can add a home link module into your stock visor VERY cheap, and "fairly" easy. I found a module at a local salvage yard, and paid 5.00

It takes a little while to add, since you have to carefully take the fabric off the stock visor, but when finished you can't tell it's not OEM.

There are threads on a different forum site showing how. I'm pretty sure I found them on www.f150forum.com

Good luck!

Nope. Different colors. Black and Grey. What's your price? If you want to give it a shot you could always order a Homelink off eBay for $50. I tried that but I got a defective Homelink and after 'ruining' my visor I just said to hell with it.

I followed this guide, and it worked flawlessly. A word to the wise though, the modules come in rolling, and non rolling codes. Before you go through the hassle of installing in your visor, touch the wires to your battery, and quickly try and program to your door opener. If it works, then proceed with the install, if not, exchange your unit.

I also got my unit out of a sebring in a scrap yard. Cost me $7 for the unit.
