4:10s and a front locker in a 2011 F150

Tossing around putting 4:10s in the front of my 2011 f150 and putting a locker or limited slip in the front, just wondering what would be the best set up? Thanks!

I would think the easiest solution would be to see if the raptor parts would fit your truck. However, either way it is gonna be an involved project.

I would stay away from a LS or locker in the front. They have a tendency to make the truck hard to control on slick roads.Best choice would be a E Locker, or Air locker.

You will obviously need to change the rear gear as well. Your gas mileage will suffer.
I agree with the other guys. Don't put a locker or limited slip. In it.
Doing both axles plus an e-locker is going set u back some serious coin.

Mileage will depend on tire size, type of driving and driving style. Since I went to 4:10s I have seen an increase of about 1 mpg around town, low speed highway (55/ 65) is about 1 mpg, and high speed highway 70+ is a wash. I am running 33s. Truck is way more responsive, and very rarely comes out of over drive except on extreme inclines. Pricing will vary, mine ran just over 1700.00 to have both axles completely rebuilt, including the rear LS, and new gears. Mine was done by East coast Gear Supply, a NC shop that ships axles and parts all over the country. As a point of reference the local Ford dealer wanted 1500.00 to rebuild the rear end, not including gears, or LS clutches.

Hmmm i wonder what the guys with the 2013 Raptors will ever do when the roads get slick.... Elocker in the rear and a torsen differential in the front.

I guess the raptors will have to stay off the roads in the winter. Because all 4 wheels will be turning.

Torsens are good in the front. Lockers or limited slips, not so good. Different animal.

Also from what I have read the Torsen in the Raptor is adjusted to a very mild bias.

In my opinion, the absolute best drive system is a full time all wheel drive with torsens front and rear and in the transfer case.
