Question Quick 4Lo question

I've got my truck out today deer hunting. While in 4Lo, the indicator is alternating between 4x4 LOW, and the stability control icon.

The icon is not coming on in any other TC selection.

It also seems like it's staying in 1st too long, and then really "boggy" once it shifts into second.

Any of this sound normal? It's been quite some time since I've had this truck in low range so I don't recall what may or may not be normal.

That doesn't sound right.

Something is going on.

My 4x4 select shift shows 4x4 Hi/Lo mode only, no other icon.

typically it will stay in a gear, holding it for a bit longer when in 4L. its doing that to keep the RPMs up.

normal, on my 09 I would even keep it in 1st. or if needed shift manually to 2nd. so it would not shift into any higher gear.

newer trucks with selectshift will let you hold it in any gear you want.
I wouldn't think that is abnormal.
even when the truck is in tow/haul it changes the shift points to hold the gear longer to help with acceleration.

unless there are a bunch of noises. I would think its doing what it should.

The TC icon on your dash is on because your TC is turned OFF when in 4Lo, that's what it states in the manual. My 2010, which is approaching 100K miles has done this since it was new, never had an issue with the drive train, and I use 4x4 lots.
