Almost All Cleaned And Waxed

I still have to do the wheels and running boards, but I got this far yesterday. It may never happen again.

pat247,

Thanks! I didn't think I would have a new cap, but the Jason cap was on sale with free options. It is a nice cap. It is a bit wavy on the lower edges (bottom inch) and the paint could be better, but it is pretty good.

It is their upscale model with frameless windows (no external side frames), it has a fold out front window for easier cleaning, it has a reinforced roof (if I want to add racks), it has a painted lower strip on the tailgate glass and it is carpet lined.

Take Care

cheef,

Thanks! Well, no garage, 63 years old, one replaced hip and waiting for another, bad back, bad neck and missing pieces in my hands makes the cleanup and waxing tough. That said, I'll try to keep it looking good.

c1t1d1,

Green Gem sure changes colour. I would not have thought yours was the same colour.

My truck is not a Lariat. It is an XLT with the chrome package and XTR package. It has a few other goodies as well.

What make exhaust are you running?

Take Care

Understood gem, the cleaning/claybar/wax is a big job on these big trucks. You'll enjoy how easy it cleans up now, not much will stick to the paint!

Wonst a week I take 'Chester the Molester' to a power wash that hand dries, drive him home and get a bucket of clean water with a synthetic chamois and dry him off real well, again.

I even dry off my 18" plastic chrome wheels, which btw, after 33 months still look brand friggin new w/no maintenance on my part, except for drying them off w/ a synthetic chamois. (Maybe it the nitrogen I had installed?)

The water in the bucket hardly turns color cuz the wash does a purdy good job.

Tuxedo Black w/ Silver Ingot accent.

Some members would be concerned that doing it that way would scratch up the paint, but I've done my rides this way for years.

He gets waxed twice a year by a detail shop here in Danksville.

I thought you were crazy washing it once / week, then doing it again when you get home.

Then I saw you have a black truck.
