Trans Pan Leak

Guys my truck was in my shop for 2 weeks without being driven and when I came home there was a small puddle of fluid under my truck. This truck has 4000 miles on it and I went crazy. I put it on the lift and found the leak was at the rear of the trans pan so with the transmission hot I tighten all the bolts up to 100inlbs and cleaned it up real good and top the fluid level off and run it all day and put it on the lift and it was all good no leaks.. Has anybody had this issue with the 2012 f150? The bolts where loose at the rear of the pan and the left side of the pan.

It sounds like you caught the problem early and corrected it. Make sure that you torqued the bolts to the proper value. If it should happen to leak again, take it to your ford dealer to make them aware of the issue for warrantee purposes.

I had that exact problem on my truck also. 2011 F-150 Ecoboost. Found it at 3,000-4,000 miles.

Your trany uses an o-ring to seal the fluid level test port, check it. Also the fluid level needs to be checked. It is on the passenger side above the pan at the front behind the torque converter housing. Loosen the Hex Cap and pull out the short lil stick. Uses that Mercon Synthetic for life fluid. Don't put the wrong type in it if it is a lil low.
