I just traded my 08' regular cab, long bed, 4x4, 4.6l in on this!!!
Never owned 2012, xlt, with chrome, convenience, trailer and plus packages. e-locked ecoboost! So far I love it super comfortable, smooth and powerful!!

I always really liked clean black trucks!

Just hated the work to keep them clean lol.

Thanks guys!! Yeah I've never owned a black vehicle before, but I've already washed it twice in 400 miles. haha I have a autospring 2" leveling kit on the way and when the stock tires get low on tread I'm thinking about black/polished 18-20's and some 295's. So far though it has some new floor mats the window vent shades and a remote start. This is my first brand new car ever it feels good to be the first owner!!
Any special tips/products in mind to keep the tuxedo black pretty over the years????

just keep washing and waxing her, and you'll be fine. A lil California Gold will go a long way--my Dad has an '07 XLT that is black, and it still looks immaculate. Course, keeping it in the garage every night, and only having 42,000 miles (as opposed to my '08 with 117K) MIGHT have something to do with that lol

Get some good quality products and wash with the two bucket method (one to rinse mitt and other for soap solution) just was a panel at a time flipping the mitt over after the first pass over the panel and you will do all right. Black is not a color ..... its a part time job!

Many happy miles and glad you got your first new car! =)

Yeah never thought of two buckets but my last three ford trucks were white so this will be a completely different animal to keep clean and scratch free. I still don't feel like this truck is mine when I drive it, the interiors are so advanced now and I came out of an 08 xl so its a night and day difference. Hopefully with proper maintenance it will be a good truck and last me years after its paid for!
