Loud road noise after leveling kit and new wheels/tires

So, I'm having a problem maybe you guys can help me out.

I got the procomp leveling struts installed on my 2012 F150 FX4 and then put on a set of fuel hostages with 305/55/20 terra grapplers. I trimmed the plastic some to stop the rubbing, but now when I'm out on the highway, I hear some serious noise, like a "waaa-waaa-waaa" coming from the truck. Its proportionate to speed, when I slow down the noise slows down, speed up, etc...

Is this just new tires? It seems to be making way more noise than my last set of terragrapplers. Could it possibly be something else? I don't know what it sounds like when wheel bearings are bad, but this is a brand new truck, is that a possibility?

Did you have the same size rims? If you switched rims it might be from the lower profile and stiffer ride.

But the waa waa wass sounds like i could be a hub...but i doubt that since it's so new

Easy way to check the hub is jack up 1 side and try to wiggle the wheel with your hands on the top and bottom of the tire.

My truck's been making a noise for the last 5k miles or so. In between 40-50 mph when accelerating it makes a noise that sound's like a bad tire, when I slow down it stop's. Tires are OK and dealer said it the wide tires. I had them put new 20's with stock Pirelli's and the noise almost stopped. They said it may be a drone picked up from the tires at certain frequencies and carried through the driveshaft or exhaust. It maybe a trait of these newer truck's beause none of my previous truck's did this with wider and taller tires.

What tires did you have on before, if they were stock or stret tires it might just be the agressivness of the new tires.

Have you had the front end aligned? Tires that are running to much on the edge will make more noise.

yea, Ibe had it aligned, and I had the stock 18's on it when I bought it. Now theyre 20's, but I had the same setup on my 2011 that i just traded in and the terragrapplers I had then didnt make this much noise. Thats what concerns me. Gonna get it looked at tomorrow I think.

Just to verify, you had it aligned AFTER putting on the new struts?

Having my rear sliding window open makes a similar noise. Does it make the same noise with all the windows rolled up tight?

Does it only make the sound when you put the truck into 4x4? Mine had a noise too after I did a leveling kit. When I did the install I broke a actuator in the hub. Took it to my dealer for repair and they actually covered it under warranty as the truck was brand new.

Just for thought, make sure the hub center on the new wheels are correct. If they are slightly larger than the factory wheels you can get that kind of noise.

Maybe even put the stock wheels/tires back on for a quick test and make sure the hubs are ok.

What goes wrong with the hubs that would make them make that noise? I have a 09 and with the stock tires it makes the same noise. The dealer told me not to worry and that the tires were to blame. The tires are a bit older but not too bad. Said they needed to be rotated more often. ???

bringing up an old thread here, but i installed a level kit on my 2012 and have a serious noise from the front end, gotta be something to do with the cv shafts of something, definately to do with the front driveline.
I put the exact same kit on my 05 and never had an issue.
Any ideas what to look for when i get into it tomorrow?

I have the same issue. I have a 2012 f150. Installed a 3' leveling kit. I left the factory street tires on my truck which ran without any noise before kit was installed. Now I have the wa wa wa tire noise like I have mud terrains on it. two alignments later, same thing. Did you fid the cause of the issue?
