2012 Center Console

Hello all -

My employer just took away my 2006 S-CAB F150 XLT and replaced it with a 2012 XL S-CAB. I have some obnoxious and large middle seat now and nowhere to store anything.

What are my options for a center console without a shifter in it? I dropped a captain console in my 2006 F150 XLT personal truck a couple years ago. Will that console fit my 2012 truck - as I found another one on Ebay.

If not, where can I find a center console for the 09-12 without a shifter?

Thanks!

There are plenty of consoles to be had, you just need to specify that you want one for an xlt. An ebay search should turn up several, and depending upon seller and condition you would be looking at 150-300 shipped

Does your seat bottom not flip up for additional storage? My bosses 2011 xlt did.

i'd keep watching ebay.

eBay would be your best bet on this one. I'll be looking, too.

The other thing you could do is buy one from Ford. There was and still is an option for a center console to replace that enormous and useless arm rest. It fits in the exact same spot that arm rest does, and bolts in the same holes. You just yank out that center section and bolt in the console and you are set. Its an easy switch provided you have the console to put in there.
