2012 FX2 MPG report
I'm taking my new 12' Fx2 Ecoboost on a 400m trip in 3 weeks. I'm looking forward to seeing what I can get. I've got the 3:15's and average around 14-15 in the city, constant light to light. A buddy of mine drives a ExCab Ecoboost on work trips weekly and swears he gets 28-29 if he stays at 65mph, keep in mind we don't have hills here.
Mix driving
Of the 405 miles, 280 were on the freeways here and the rest around the suburb I live in. I drive 70 on the tollway and freeway as traffic allows. In the mornings it is a crawl until I get to the tollway. I don't accelerate much past 2500RPM when I am driving around. My company uses Valero for its fleet use and I get 87 octane from the same two stations.
I'm with ya, he even showed me a picture of the dash on his phone, but I was still skeptical about how long before a reset it was. Although its not the first 29mpg I've seen claimed. That's why I'm ready to get mine on the road. The 3:15s and flat roads should give me the best possible outcome, we'll see.

I can get mine to say 55-75 mpgs too.....just reset it while going down a big hill after filling up....

These hypermilers were able to get just over 32mpg on an Ecoboost F150 with FOUR passengers and their luggage in the bed. I'm sure they managed to **** off a lot of people sharing the road with them while doing it.. haha
I was able to manage about 23mpg with an FX2 5.0 at 65mph. I could have done better but I was driving the hills in Southern Illinois at the time. I'll have to see what my next road trip yeilds down in the flats around here in Texas. For now, my average mixed driving is yeilding about 17.5mpg..
