Ummm...no.

I've owned two 5.4s (one 2v and one 3v) and added a few performance goodies to the 3v...LTs, dual exhaust, Gryphon with custom 93 perf tunes, etc. Although it ran much better the day I traded it than the day I bought it, it still couldn't hold a light for the 5.0. Not even close. Period.

In the good ol' days, the old saying 'no replacement for displacement' held more water than it does now.

OP, congrats on the step-up!! It looks like the fiasco worked out in your favor after all!

I should know better than to start this topic again, but it sure is a fun banter.

In all seriousness, we sure are glad you came back to the oval once the house things got settled. Sure would have been sad if you went the bow tie route, or worse.
Drewser is right. Although I love my 2v 5.4 it isnt anything compared to the 5.0. With the technology we have nowdays you can get more power from les displacement.

Oh and nice truck! I like the fx4 much better than the xlt!

Thanks guys.

The xlt deal falling through was a blessing in disguise. I love the truck and fighting the temptation to lift this one up vs just a leveling kit.

You know you want to lift it. Though, a level and a set of 35's would really look good.
