when I come to a stop & take off (CLUNK) FINALLY FIXED
After three years and alot of visits to Ford they finally repaired and greased my slip yoke, this time I brought some proof from this web site.It turned out I bought some marine grease with teflon 2-4-c which I also found here and went down to Ford and told him what I found here (10-22-6 & 09-25-5 tsb's)he said no problem do you want us to do it now and I said yea sure.Turned out he was dead serious,I may have caught him on a good day.I said I bought the grease because I was going to try it myself,he then said do you want to watch him do the job.
It took him under 5 minutes,he said he tells customers to do it every 30,000 miles.I asked how much if I had to pay for it,he said $60.00.
I'm not saying all dealerships will do this, but it's worth a shot if you have the TSB'S on the problem.

The TSB related to the driveline clunk is 10-22-6 it replaces TSB 09-25-5. The TSB is strictly for 09-10 F-150's built before 12/01/2009.

That's one of the first things our shop does when a customer comes in complaining of a clunk on start up and stopping with a slip yolk drive shaft.....
I think I'll keep the truck until a new body style comes out, unbelieveable took less than 5 minutes and $10.00 for the grease.

It's a condition alot of ford truck owners are getting,he said the only way to get better is to trade it in.
just had mine done as well I think they put some kind a washer in to, the part was back ordered a month and a half but all is good now

I had mine done a couple weeks ago. Took it in told the service advisor of the clunk. He asked a few questions, which most I don't do so couldn't answer. They greased it and all is good.
Ford isn't the only one with this problem. Chevy is having it on several body-styles and power-trains in the silverado, tahoe, and suburban. First we use the grease, if it comes back we have to replace the slip yoke with a new one that has a special nickel plating and yet more grease. After the replacement they don't complain anymore.
