P065B fault code - need help

Howdy, last week while i was driving through the infamous hurricane Isaac my battery light came up on my message center a few times and then went away. it only did it a couple of times. i checked under the hood when i got back and didnt seem to see any excess water on the battery or on any other electronics. well here it is almost a week later and it came on again driving down the interstate, completely dry conditions. so this time when i got home i hooked my edge tuner to it to read the code. P065B is when it told me and there was no narrative to the code. I've looked and looked with no luck. the only place i found was on google it gave me a link the a ford racing spreadsheet with all the codes for the f150..except 2012..mines a 2011 with the 5.0. it said "generation control circuit range/performance"..so i'm guessing its something to do with my alternator?

http://www.fordracingparts.com/Downl...BDII_codes.pdf

theres the link if anyone wants to take a look. thanks!

Are you still on warranty? If so, just take it in to the dealer.

Yeah that's what I'm doing today after work. I have a winch installed so Idk if they'll try and blame it on that. Could salt water have gotten in there and caused some sort of corrosion?

They are more likely to blame it on the tuner.

Yeah well I took the tuner off and put the stock tune back on. If they do oh well they'll have to prove that the tuner caused it.

Hopefully, he was asking you in case he found a need to reflash the PCM. Most techs don't care, it's the management that's gonna be death on mods.

i always reset the tuner back to stock before i take it in for anything so just in case he had to reflash it for anything it wouldnt have written over the tune i put on it.
