Wait to buy ESP?

I am going to pick up my new FX4 Friday, and am torn on the ESP. If I can get the dealer to match the online pricing, should I get it or wait? The price doesn't seem to change until 1yr/12K miles, then it's only $100 extra. What do most of you do? Do you wait until it's getting ready to drop the factory warranty? Is there any advantages to buying it early besides the price?

Thanks!

I would wait. Gives you a chance to see how your truck is, and if it is trouble-free, maybe skip it. Also, you may decide to sell your truck and won't need the extra coverage. IMHO, wait until 2 weeks before your warranty expires to make the decision.

Unless you NEED to roll the cost of the warranty into your loan. Chances are, if you don't need to roll it into your loan, your probably don't need the extended warranty to begin with, but that's discussion for another thread.

If I even THINK I need an extended warranty, I dump the vehicle.

If you're the type that keeps vehicles till the wheels fall off, you might want to try and negotiate a better price on ESP. If you can get 2/3oo $ off, you're doing good
Other then that, there is no advantage to buying it right away. If you want it down the road, get it before the warranty expires.
