Ready for an upgrade. I sold the '05 and I am getting ready to make a newer purchase. I have been looking at a few new platinums but I really like that 2011 Lariat Limited. Any owners out there? How are you liking it? I test drove one yesterday and I have to say that these things are really nice. Biggest problem is that they are few and far between (obviously "limited" production).

 

As nice as they are, I for one wouldn't (and didn't) pay the premium price attached to the limited tag. If you got money to burn, and want a little extra attention, then go for it. It wasn't even remotely worth it to me. I hands down prefer the look of an FX4, and with the LUX package, it brings the trim level on the inside to more than good enough for me.

To each his own though. The important thing is that you get the truck YOU want, and YOU can afford.

 

I like the limited but only the 2013 in ruby red tinted metallic

 

The Limited and Platinum's are really nice, but too many options which I did not need.
The Lariat suited me fine, with my choice of options.

 

What did the limited have for extra options? Just curious

 

Count me in as a Limited owner. I purchased mine near the end of 2011, and saved over $9,000 off sticker after all the rebates, haggling, etc. You should probably do much better on a 2011 Limited considering we're way into 2012 and 2013's will be arriving shortly.

I love mine, and I seriously considered an Ecoboost Platinum before pulling the trigger. I drove both back to back for hours, and in the end the 6.2 roar was just too intoxicating. I have no regrets (and I knew what I was getting into in terms of MPG, etc.). I grin every time I climb behind the wheel, and I'm glad I don't see my twin at every stoplight too (though the F-150 is still the most popular vehicle produced, so I do see a lot of cousins!).

 

Limiteds were loaded with everything, except for the sound-insulated windshield and automatic rain-sensing wipers only available on the Platinum (not sure about Harleys). The only options were:

• 4x4/AWD
• Bed Extender
• Tailgate Step + Stripper Pole

Many people think of Limiteds as Harley Davidson edition F-150's without all of the chrome, badges, stripes, paint, snakeskin leather, etc.

 

Just a great looking truck man! I couldnt agree with you more about the fact that you dont see a twin at every stoplight. I drove that 6.2 also and I am hooked. I know that there are some naysayers but that 6.2 under the right foot is pretty sweet. Especially in the Limited package.

 

Since the lightning and Gen 1 Harley trucks... I think that this and the 2008 Harley pickup are the best looking stock trucks ford has offered since.

Totally agree. I have never seen a Limited in person, and I pay attention to other vehicles-especially trucks. I always liked the HDavidson trucks too, but I am not a biker and feel like I'd be a "poser" if I got one. The Limited is a nice looking truck for sure.

 

That is one sexy beast. I have always loved the Limiteds and have been jealous of the dude every time I see one. The exterior is so much nicer than the regular Lariats that have all that chrome. In fact, the only thing that would make it better is make the chrome grill surround body matched as well. And this white colour is the best!!

 

Yea the Limited in white is sexy, It was sexy back in 2008 as well but I can't wait to see the 2013 in ruby red metallic with the red interior
