Can you install handles where there are none from the factory?

We just bought a 2010 F150 lariat and there are grab handles on the window post but not above the doors. I had been driving a truck that had them both places and they come in real handy getting in and out and also very handy when I have elderly passengers getting in and out as well. I also like having the one above the door when you need to pull yourself back up in the seat for any reason while your driving.
My question is, can I install handles on the inside above the door on all 4 doors if they did not come on the truck? I dont want it to look crappy if you can but I would love to have them in this truck. ANy suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

That's been a beef of mine too. You probably have the tweeters in the A posts.
Ford does not have the option to add it. I suppose i could make up a bracket and weld or bolt it onto the A post behind the vinyl cover and then screw a handle to it. I just don't keep vehicles long enough to bother with it.

There is an air bag inside of the driver side A-pillar so you would have to remove that to install a handle on the A-pillar.

After I sold my 06 and started researching 2011s I found out that there was no a-pillar grab handle on the driver side. When I first found this out I was disappointed but I ordered my 2011 anyway. From the first time I got into the truck I realized I didn't need one. Now I'm glad I don't have it because if I had a grab handle on the d/s a-pillar I wouldn't have been able to mount my boost gauge on the a-pillar.

I think he wants to mount them above the doors, not on the A-pillar. I don't see how you could do that, what are you going to attach them to and how are you going to attach them so a 200 lb weight won't rip them out?

Above the drivers door on my '09 is an airbag ! For side impact in RegCab.
Today it's never a good idea to start drilling or anything else blindly. Remove all the panels and trim so you know whats' there .
My most common use of the handle on my older F-150 was to stand on the door sill , hold onto the handle to clean the windschield of bugs or snow.
