We just bought a used 2010 f150 lariat today from a chevy place and they dont have a clue how to reset the door code without charging us for it. I have searched this site and I have looked behind the back seat, behind the emergency brake and under the dash on the passenger side and have came up with ZERO! Does anyone have an idea where it is located in the 2010 f150 lariat so that we can reprogram the door entry numbers?

You don't reset any module, you have to reprogram the pad. Do you not have a manual with the truck? The instructions are in the manual. If you don't have one, go to the Ford site and download one. You are going to have to get the 5 digit security code for your truck. On the 05 through 08 it is on a sticker on the BCM module behind the back of the rear seat. I have no idea about the 2010. One option is to take it to a Ford dealer and they have a computer that can retrive the code. That 5 digit code is always in your system and you have to have it to enter your own code.

The previous owner did not include the card with the manufactors 5 digit code on it that comes with the manual. I have the owners manual but I do not have the 5 digit code. I have found HOW to reset it WITH the original 5 digit numbers but I can not find the module to get the number off of. Everyone says in the forums that it is written in bold on the module but I cant find it.
I took the back seat down and tore out the carpet only to find the seatbelts and the motor for the back window. I have crawled under the dash and entered every 5 digit pattern I could find on stickers and boxes and nothing has worked. I have seen what some modules look like but i have yet to find it on this model.

from a different thread:

Quote: 1. Take the fuse panel cover off. This is located at the floor board on the passenger side.
2. Take the plastic corner molding off, it just pulls out but be careful not to break it.
3. Look behind the SJB for the 5-digit code. If you can't see it. Removing the two 7mm bolts which will allow you to move the SJB out enough to see it
better.

I am gonna try that here in a few. Ill let yall know how it turns out for me. Why does Ford take a f150 and put it all kinds of different places depending on what year its made. This has been very frustrating and it makes me wonder when they are gonna design a f150 with the bed in the front and the motor in the back.

No problem. I had a used 2006 and had to go through tearing the back seat apart to get to it...which is nearly impossible without xray vision or having seen on apart.

Isn't it correct that the 2009 up no longer has the BCM behind the back seat but rather th security is programed in the PCM?

Right...the 2009 & up location is not behind the seat but in the location shown several posts above.

code missing
I just purchased a used 2011 F150 and do not have the owners card with the factory 5 digit door code. I tore into the passenger kick panel as shown above and there is no 5 digit number such as is shown on the jpeg above. Is it possible Ford does not put the number there anymore?

Thanks! My code was on the other side of the box compared to the pic above. On a sticker all by itself. Five digits with an L after it. Example: #####L

My third F150, and this site continues to be an amazing resource!

On my 13 there is a procedure in the manual that shows the code on the productivity screen, sure beats having to crawl around under the dash pulling out the fuse block.
