2012 Black Widow

Was getting some work done at San Tan Ford here in Gilbert, AZ and saw the new "Black Widow" package by Southern Comfort Customs... Wanted everyone's thoughts and input since this one of the new F150 variations rolling out (link is just random dealership for pic purposes)

http://newwayneakersford.netlook.com...-a1390647.html

Pricingwise I am seeing this go for about 59k - 72k (higher end was at my dealership) and most all of the F150s I saw that had this package were the Ecoboost V6s. Going to be very honest on the exhaust sound... was terrible for such a hyped up package.

Everyone else toss your input in and lets discuss.

IMO I think it just looks like an overpriced F150 that has had some mods added to it, embroidery done on the head rests , all of which you can do yourself and end up with better looking wheels. I wouldn't buy one.

Heads/Tails not a fan. All the chrome front and back can go. Wheels are ok. They could of mounted some KCs up front or something. 59-72K really...

Odd choice to start with a Lariat with the plastiwood trim...seems like the FX4 lux would have been a better platform...but I guess they wanted chrome.

It was funny because the sales reps sitting across the way saw me jerk my head back and lift my shades to double check their price sticker and they both chuckled. When I walked over them to shoot the breeze they both mentioned "Sooo... how about that Widow's sticker?" They knew and openly admitted that pushing these on the lot isn't going to go over that well.

We then discussed the Raptor which was 11k less roughly and far more superior... Another topic for another thread on that note.

Great catch and I wasn't aware that they were pushing this type of trim on other vehicle makers as well.

it's ok overall...not a fan of billet inserts, needs more meat or less lift, and someone seems to have put a spider on the side of it...i guess autozone was out of stick on chrome vents?

makes me happy that our local dealers do a great job of off the lot customs so we don't see these conversion trucks.

Haven't seen one at Berge or Earnhardt's yet. Saw similar in Sierra Vista, will snap a pic when I go by.
