Love'n my new F150

Well the truck finally arrived last Thursday evening pretty much at the last possible minute. I had special ordered it from a dealer 14 hours away as the deal was about $4000 less than anywhere else. Not sure why but it seemed to take forever to arrive at the dealer. Oh well I got the call about 15 minutes before I was going to cancel the flight. I got home last evening with 1500 kms on the odometer. The trip was a great way to break it in. I was amazed at the gas milage I had gotten. I averaged 23mpg @ 100kph. So far very impressed with the truck. Hoping it gets what Ford claims at 27mpg after the break in period. Time will tell I guess.
The truck I ordered has the following -2012 Screw, F150, 4X4, trailer tow with trailer brake, off road pkg, remote start, rear back up camera and rubber floor all in Sterling Grey. I had some specific options that I really wanted so a special order was about the only way to go.
This should be my last truck till I retire I hope.

It is the 5.0 Loved the roar of the engine too much to get the eco. Actually, I gave the eco some serious consideration but in the end decided on the 5.0

Who claims 27 mpg? That ain't happening unless you are coasting down a mountain with a strong tailwind. Is that maybe meters/teaspoon or some other canadian measurement?

On my morning commute to work today, the trip-o-meter (A) which I reset coming out of the driveway, showed 23.0 mpg when I pulled into the parking lot at work, a short in-town drive of just over 9 miles. I now have a little over 1000 miles on the new truck, and so far, the mileage is good.

Did you come down to s/w Ontario to get yer rig? If you did that's great mileage considering the terrain! Driven London to T-bay about 25x, LOVE hwy 17, beautiful drive.

Flew into Toronto and drove 401-400 north to North Bay. Spent the night with my brother and drove home via Hwy 11. Have driven I75 from Sarnia to the SS Marie - Tbay many times while in college so I figured I would give Hwy 11 a try. Very nice route. Made it from New Liskard to Tbay on a tank. So far very happy with the truck.

Excellent, 11 was always nice but 17 was wild. 11 a lot flatter which may have helped your MPG. If you don't mind me asking what dealer in TO?
