The above is correct. XLT has the option of a center console but not flow through. Only FX/Lariat and up get the flow throughs. Those have a hand shifter instead of on the column, AC vents, power outlet, and also a house power outlet. Standard on FX and above, optional on Lariat.

I have a 2012 FX2 with the flow through with everything you listed.

FX2 is essentially an FX4 without the 4x4 bits.

I've essentially built my STX into an FX2, minus the carpet and sliding rear window. Next time, I'll just buy the FX package, and save modding money for other projects (on that truck, of course lol)

I'd have to dig it up, but there is a build thread where a guy modded a flow through console into a model that did not have it. It was quite an under taking, expensive, and took serious skill work. He stated that he is happy with it, but would never try it again. It did come out looking really good though. If I find it, I'll link it.

The thread I mentioned is actually not on here, but F150 Forum. The title is "Don't try to put a flow through console in!!!"

Not only did I not listen to his advice, but I'm now considering putting a Power Inverter with TWO 110 outlets at the rear of my Flow Through for when I go camping lol

lol

Did you complete it already? If so, got any pics? The other guy's came out pretty awesome and he added some nice mods with it. Price is prolly going to keep me to an XLT for my upcoming truck, but it's going to hurt not having that flow through that I love so much. Not sure if I've got the skills for such a mod lol

HM,

The console itself is finished (with thanks to Patman on the floor shifter), lit up and the rear Power Point is functional, but I'm still missing a Flow Thru dash. Once I do that, my STX will be everything I wanted (except SuperCrew and 4WD lol).

HM8404: I put an harley console (same as expeditions) in my 03, then converted it to 04-08 console shifter.

The console is a direct bolt in, very easy swap.

HM,

Decided to just buy a Sears 425 watt power inverter and mounted it inside the center console's storage bin. Hidden away, but easily removed for usage--best of both worlds

I pulled the back off of my flow through console first to see if there was room at the rear to hide it underneath all the ductwork, but no dice. I was hoping to just have two 120 outlets coming from the bottom of the console (after cutting exit holes), but this way I can move it in or out of the cab in a few seconds.

I have yet to use it camping, but I know it will come in handy in the near future.
