Spied! 2015 Ford F-150 SuperCab

From: Mark Williams
PickupTrucks.com

With all the attention squarely on GM as the 2014 Chevy Silverado/GMC Sierra 1500 gets ready to debut sometime this year, Ford is quietly getting its next F-150 ready for a significant design and engineering change. How significant that change will be undoubtedly is a highly guarded secret.

Regardless, there are a few things we can tell from these recent spy shots...

anyone else notice its on 97-03 16" wheels? 5lugs? that would be an interesting change, maybe this is a F100 concept we're seeing here

Also look at the width seems more narrow than current gen trucks, just eyeballing the silhouette of the driver, and the closeness of the windshield wipers

also looks like they're using the same window surround design as the 97-03 (even seems like same 3rd brake light too)

and looking at the steep sloping fender it looks like the 97-03 front fender as well

I think Ford is just being sneaky. I think this is a 97-03 truck. the only thing that says other wise is the tail lamps and the dipping belt line of the window and mirrors.

Looks just like the girly looking 97 -03. HATED the look of that generation. So glad I got my 2012 with the more square body style!!!!

The things that suggest to me that its not a 97-03 are the tails, they look similar to the modern ones, i see the chrome inserts. Secondly, look at the grill, it looks like a futuristic styling chrome grill. The front headlights almost look projector-ish to me. So hmmm, very interesting pictures.

I wouldnt get too worked up about it yet.

I noticed the wheels too, but actually, those wheels were 17".

I agree though, this may be an F100 mule. The underpinnings of the F100 covered up with a 97-03 body.

Not to derail the thread here, but I saw that they are bringing the Ranger back as well. I saw on F150forum.com, that a guy named TwinTurboFX4 had *its gone now* posted a teaser pic of the new Ranger on the street *test truck*. He said he is glad they are bringing them back. Ford seems to be on a roll lately. Not a bad thing at all.
