I ordered a '12 Lariat Screw. Thought I would get everything I wanted. The dealer has notes that I requested the Lariat plus package, but now that I can view the window sticker, it did not make it on the order.

Is there a way to use a blue tooth back up camera to a blue tooth receiver in an iPhone 4s? I was hoping for the factory camera, but the dealer is not being helpful yet.

 

Wow Woods, Im sorry that you had that problem.

The dealer should be able to make it right, especially with a custom order. I dont understand how the Plus Package got missed.

As far as for the bluetooth, Im not sure that would work. I dont know for sure though, I've never heard of anyone doing that with their truck. That is a new question on me.

 

In my opinion.....One of the main reasons people order is, that this way they can have it exactly as they want it, no more-no less........now if the dealer goofed, I'd make him reorder it instead of adding things after delivery.

First you should check with your dealer and make sure it's not been added to the build before getting to upset about this.

 

I reviewed the Window Sticker, and called the dealer. He said it was not included and it was too late to do anything about that truck. He said they could possibly re-order, but I'm concerned that it might be too late for a '12. The '13's won't be available until about October and will have a price increase and likely less incentives.

He had hand-written notes that specified that I wanted it, but I have no copy of the order form to know what was included. My feeling is, they screwed up.

 

I just ordered a 12 fx4 today. I got printouts of the complete order listing each option. You didn't get any paperwork?

 

If you arent satisfied with the way the dealer handled it, I believe you have until July to order a 2012. They can always sell the first truck on the lot, someone will buy it. No use ordering a truck to NOT get what you want.

They screwed up and you should get exactly what you want.

 

Chances are Dealer installed options will cost you more money as well. I just went thru this with an FX4 I ordered. Dealer forgot to put the factory installed boards on it, $380 invoice price. Now they tell me $500 plus installation.

I'd force them to reorder and get confirmation.

 

force a re-order...so long as they had written down what you wanted, they made a mistake...or go to a new dealership.

 

Dealer just called and was willing to reorder with that package. Should set me back about 4 weeks in delivery I guess.

 

Wise decision.

I wouldn't own one of these tanks w/o the back-up camera and reverse sensors.

BTW, I just threw out a brochure that was good for 750$ off any 2012 model which sez it can be included with any other public offering that's on.

Maybe you'll receive one, too???

That brochure sure makes them look tempting, but I still owe 16,000$ on my '10 XLT.

I'm shooting for the 2nd year of the new body change over now. 2015??

 

Reorder the truck for ya or walk...
Simple as that.
You dont owe them anything that is for sure.
Especially to be less than pleased with a 40K purchase.
