How is your console equiped in 2012 XLT

Just wondering how anyones console is equiped in the XLT model.

I am specifically interested in knowing if it has the accesory plug as well as the normal 2 prong plug outlet so we can plug in our computer while driving.

Thanks for any help

DL,

If I understand the question correctly, here's your answer...

The XLT console does have the 12v accessory plug in the back, but does not have the 110 outlet. My old jumpseat had a 12v and a fold down cupholder. I'm not sure if the XLT console has the cupholders or not.

To get the 110 outlet to plug your laptop up, you'll need to get a truck with the flow through console....the FX2/4 trucks have them, as do the Harley and Platinum models. I think they are optional on the King Ranch and Lariat models, as well. The flow through console is the one with the floor shifter...it has two rear air vents, a 12v power point, and the 110 outlet you are looking for.

You can buy a 110v inverter on Amazon.com for @$30. Converts 12v to 110v.

Most inverters have 2 -"Two Pronged Outlets", plus usually a USB hub, also.

Some will even have a 12v outlet, too.

Some fit into your rear cup-holder on the XLT's console.

Lots of options.

Thanks for the info

I test drove an F150 with a console and when we ordered ours we ordered the console with buckets but didn't think it came with the 110 outlet.

I have had the converter plug before in my van when we traveled. I guess I'll have to buy another one for my truck
