Interior questions for the Lariat

Is there an optional wood color? I don't really like the oak wood it has I would much prefer a darker color.

Also, does the lariat offer the cooled seats?

I pretty much have my eyes set on a Platinum but today I saw a Lariat and it was a thing of beauty. It has me thinking about it now and these seem to be the only concerns I have. There doesn't appear to be much of a price difference for both vehicles when somewhat equally equipped.

No options on wood color. Just the fugly light color.

Worse than that though is the missing grab handle at the drivers seat.

Take the platinum...you'll be happier with the power steps it comes with.

Ford eliminated the light wood color, they are now dark.

Cool

I must be the speck of pepper in the salt . The fly in the ointment . I like the lighter wood. It's different. I special ordered my Lariat then had the dealer add on some things like the skid plates and DVD headrests. I thought about adding the factory power runnung boards, and may still do so. Just haven't dedcided yet. I too was thinking about the Platinum, but decided I liked the Adobe color interior better. Both trucks are very nice. I wish you well in your endevear (spell check) :o.

Lariat does not come standard with cooled seats. If you get the bench seat in the Lariat, it does not have them. However, if you get the captain's chairs then it is standard. Since the overwhelming majority of Lariats have captain's chairs, most will therefore also have heated and cooled seats.

To the OP, no you can't choose different wood color. 2012 Lariat wood color is dark brown; 2011 Lariat wood color is blonde. 2010 is slightly lighter than the 2012 dark brown. And I think 09 color was same as 10.

+1 - All correct information!

OP - take a look at Ford's Build & Price web site for the F-150 - you'll see a pretty close rendition of what each truck's interior looks like. Also, they have a trim-level comparison page on the F-150 microsite that shows you what comes with each trim level and what's optional on each trim level.

Can someone clarify something. In the platinum interior options there is a grey and a black but on the ford site when you click the black it shows a dark brown/red color. Did that interior color get discontinue for the newer models or is it still available?

Didn't want to sign up to this site until I actually bought the truck and the search engine has been very helpful, but now I have more questions than ever.

The "black" leather option on Platinums is actually dark brown, always has been. I have never understood why they call it "black." With a Platinum your leather choices are dark brown (actual color) or grey. With a Lariat your leather choices are black (actually black) or tan.
