Can't trace burning plastic smell

So this has been going on for about 10 days and a trip to Ford for no help what so ever. I noticed after driving home from work which is about 15 miles a really pungent burning plastic smell coming from inside the cabin, so I thought. Got out of the truck and tried tracing it to a certain location which lead me to my right rear tire? I think? I go back to smell around and then back to the tire but it doesn't smell, now it seems like its coming from under the truck. I recently had Ford replace a leaking tranny seal about two months ago, with no issues. So day after day I have been driving the truck and when I park the smell is very strong. I decide to take it in, me and my luck no smell when I get to the dealership, they do their thing they put 30 miles? on my truck to try to replicate the problem and say everything is fine. I drive it home from the dealership and as soon as I park, you guessed it.

I have to make a 10 hour drive this weekend and will have my wife and three kids with me, I am a bit worried. I really don't know what to do now. So here I am asking yet another question, what should I do?

when you park it and smell that smell go around and check all your wheels for heat build up by touching them....if the right rear wheel is warmer than the others than it could be a caliper intermittently sticking....

check around the exhaust piping also for possiblities

I checked and the wheels don't seem to be warmer than others.

Should I be worried about taking this out for a 10 hour drive?

I know you probally already checked, but follow your exhaust from headers back. I once ran over a plastic bag which stuck to my exhaust and it too stunk for about a week. It doesn't explain why the dealer couldn't replicated the problem though... I'm lost. I'd still drive the truck on your trip. You're under warranty and have full coverage ins.

Wish that was it, but nope, no plastic bag!

I am not worried about the truck, it's more of a safety issue?

I would check all heat shields. And around the tranny, or any place the dealer had their hands.

What should I look for?

I used up all options, and unless I can replicate this in front of the dealer I am stuck with this issue.
