My build plan
My build plan
I am about to deploy soon and will be saving to start my build when I get back early next year.
I have a 2011 FX4 5.0 SCrew. It's the sexy Sterling Grey.
Here is the plan, so far:
BDS 6"
**** Cepek Gun Metal 7 20X9 w/5.5" BS
Toyo Open Country M/T 37X13.50R20
Re-Gear to 4.55
BOSS 302 Kit from 5 Star Tuning (includes AFE Cold Air Intake, STC X3 and 3 custom tunes)
Stainless Works Headers w/X pipe exhaust system
I do have some questions, if anyone has had experiences with any of the above.
1 Has anyone used the BDS 6" with the SW Long headers? Any clearance issues?
2 For the gears, any brand recommendations? Will I have to replace the whole rear, or can I just swap the ring and pinion in the stock housing?
3 Rub or bump issues with the 20X9 w/ 5.5"BS? I know the 37's are pretty big and I do want them to stick out of the fenders a little. I love that look.
4 With all these modifications, will I have to step up the brakes?
Well, there's the plan...now just have to get started on the saving lol
Comments, suggestions, experiences are all welcome!

verify you can run a 13.5" wide tire, you might be limited to a 12.50" wide tire w/ the recommended backspacing.
gears: no recommendation, just buy a name brand and don't let $20 sway you to a cheaper brand. Swap ring and pinion, don't even know what rear you would swap in. If you tow, i'd recommend 4.88's, if you don't then the 4.56 you were planning on will be a good set up
the lift should in no way affect headers
brakes will be fine, wouldn't hurt later on when they need to be replaced to upgrade. Wait before buying.
