Anyone else have Issues ordering a New Truck?
In the middle of February I placed an order for a 2012 FX4 F150 Supercrew EB. Dealer told me 4 to 6 weeks was about the normal time of arrival. I hadn't heard anything so I check with them the middle of April. At this time they checked and said it was pulled out of the line for a parts shortage and to check back in a couple of weeks. I called and left a message 2 weeks later inquiring about the status of the truck and after 4 days and no response I stopped over. The dealer then tells me the unit was no longer on the order or build list and no one from Ford would get back to them about what happened. So at this point they have reordered the truck and if I decide I still want it, I'm going to be over 4 months since original order.
Has anyone else had or heard of issues like this before? I'm really rather disgusted at this point.

Have seen no long delays here: nothing really exotic in the ordered truck, a XLT 5.0L, Regular cab, Long bed, 2WD; ordered 07 May 2012; scheduled to build on 25 May 2012. It may yet be pushed back, but so far, it has been reasonably quick.
4 weeks may be a little optimistic.
- E-Lock Axle (XL4, XL6) may increase lead time by 2-4 weeks
- 4X4 models may increase lead time by 2-4 weeks

My major problem is the original order which was placed the end of February, Order #1001, disappeared. I got a copy of the order confirmation from the dealer when order was placed. 7 weeks later and it it just disappeared off of the production schedule sheet, according to dealer. They ended up placing a duplicate order and no one at Ford will comment on what happened. Not sure if Dealership screwed up or Ford, but I've been doing business with this guy for 25 years and never had an issue!
I ordered a new Lariat in the last week of March and the truck was built on the 23rd of April with an ETA May 7th.
Then the ETA changed to May 27th for some reason, wouldn't even know that if it wasn't for SETCHAN Tracking it for me.
As of yesterday it was finally on the train headed south, dealer hasn't told me anything other than it should be getting close and that was 2 weeks ago.
They originally told me 4-6 weeks and if its on schedule for the 27th then its closer to 9 weeks.
I'm just ready for it to show up.

Same kind of thing happened to me when I ordered my 2011 Lariat. Took 14 WEEKS!!!! I ordered the truck on Oct. 21, 2010. The dealer told me about 4-6 weeks. He said it was kind of early, plus I ordered it with the 6.2 might make it a bit longer. So I waited. Kept in contact by email about once a week. After four weeks I asked them to check on the status and all I got was that they were still waiting for a reply from ford. At the six week mark (just after thanksgiving), it made no differance, just a run around. At eight weeks I contacted Ford by email. Said i was completely dissatisfied. I got a call from the corporate office. The person said that there was a parts order issue for the 6.2 and that all 6.2's were halted until the issue was resolved. And that they would contact me when the build was scheduled to take place. But that it would likely not be until after the holiday break (which meant after new years). Doing some research on the internet I discovered that it was a back order issue from Mexico involving the computers for the 6.2 F-150's. So, I got a call from the dealer on sat. Jan. the 15th. telling me that it just arrived. But I was out of town. I got back on monday, and went to see her on wens. Jan. 19th., and took delivery on friday the 21rst., 92 days later. :o It was worth the wait!!
