Power Folding Side Mirrors

I bought a 2010 F150 Lariat SCAB a few months ago.....i love the truck but the only thing i was surprised about is that it doesn't have power folding mirrors. Why would they make a truck loaded up like that and not add that feature. haha......does anybody know how much it would be to install?? Thanks

Probably cause you don't have max tow. I believe it's an option but you still have to get max tow to order them.

Somebody else looked in to adding them once previously and decided it was WAY too expensive. I don't recall what drove the cost up though.

sorry but that is wrong. Max tow means it comes with the large towing mirrors, and those aren't power folding.

starting in 2011, you could get optional power folding mirrors on the Lariat. For 09 and 10, they only came on the Platinum and King Ranch models.

Rhiggins, if you search the forum, you'll see there has been mixed results about actually being able to add the power folding mirrors. Plus the parts are expensive.

You can add them yourselves, there's just going to be a lot of cost and work involved.

The basics would be the mirrors and the button for the functionality. You'll be looking at about $40 for the power-fold button. Then, $400 a piece for the mirror assemblies(with a choice between chrome or primed mirror caps($600)).

Here's a breakdown of the mirror assembly, along with part numbers for individual pieces here.

Lastly, you'll need to redo the wiring. I'ms ure someone out there must know the correct harness to be swapped in. In all, a pretty expensive job for not that much more functionality.
