I am a parts guy at a ford dealer, you may check with the dealer and see if your A/C control module needs to be reprogrammed. Had to have that done in a fusion because the module wasn't registering feedback from the pressure switch and cause the a/c lines to freeze up.

Are you saying that the AC itself comes on (A/C light is on) or that the compressor comes on? If the compressor, it should depending upon what setting your heat/AC is on. About the only setting that the compressor will not come on is the floor only setting of heat. If the AC light is on and you did not leave it in that position when you shut down, then you have a problem.

Mine did that , but also when just idling the a/c would come on full blast without me hitting anything. The techs found the problem to be a faulty blower speed control module ( part # BL3Z-19E624-A). The part was ordered and it seems to have fixed it. I think the a/c has come on once or twice after starting the truck since then.
