New 2012 Lariat

This is my new 2012 Lariat and I like it better then my 2010. It only has 207miles on it now but my first road trip it was getting 19.7mpg maybe it will get better as time go's on. I ordered this truck in late Feb and I received it on march 16.. I have enjoyed it so far...

5.0? 4x4? gears? Anyways, congrats. Loves the Lariats but red would be my last choice.

Damn! Those are some amazing mpg numbers for4x4 w/ 3.73 gears. The more I read these threads, the more I see that the 5.0 gets better mpg than the ecoboost when configured as a "Man's truck" (4x4 vs 2x4 / 4.10-3.55 vs taller gears). They also tend to do better mpg when towing. The EB numbers a roll of the dice...

Nice... I am averaging 19.6 mpg combined driving on Shell 93 Octane E10; currently at 15,000 miles. I run 93 octane and get it at 87 octane price every monday at the local Shell.

I was impressed with the MPG on the 5.0 with tall gears. My buddy's at the shop are running EB and they love them but the MPG are every where some of them are only getting 12MPG...

yeah, everyone knows the ecoboost gets 23 mpg with 2x4 and 3.15 gears. Throw in 4wd and 3.73 gears and that number gets destroyed. Even worse so with a load.

Your truck looks great. Good luck with it. Your old one looked good, too.

I can attest to your last statement. I don't believe I'm every going to be able to brag about my truck's mileage.
