got some numbers.. thinkin about just tradin in the 4.6 SCREW and financing a 2012 ecoboost.
got $17,600 left on the 2010 f150. trade in would be 20k ,and the 2010 ecoboost SCREW 4x2 is 40k ..

so basically I'd be eating a downpayment and a years worth financing..... but damn.. I want more power and the TT 3.5 sure got it...everybody needs to test drive one

It's my understanding that Ford is going to be putting the EB in more trim levels in the near future. I believe that if people wait a bit they will be able to have an EB F150 for well under 40K. I've seen a couple regular cab long bed F150's with the EB out there for under 30k used. Low miles. I'd like one for work.

We're going to be seeing the EB offered in more configs soon. No need to sell the kids or your soul for a Limited.

 

I just bought a 2012 XL S-Cab shortbed 2wd ecoBoost for way less than 30k. The only ways its not available is RC/SB or STX trim (what I wanted).

 

You can already buy an EB for well under 40k....

 

with a hot tub.

Lariats can get up there too. With every option a Lariat can run $48-$50k even in 4x2. So $40k in this case wouldn't be too bad. If it is not at least a loaded Lariat, the price may be too high.

What is the model and MSRP?

 

I could have bought a loaded out XLT back in July for 29,500. Paid 1,000 less for my 5.0. You can get a Platinum for about 41,000.

 

Most of the ones that I've seen on the lots around here sticker over 40k.

MSRP was 40,000 , it was an XLT supercab 6'5" bed 3.5L EB , 3.55 limited slip read end. basic interior cloth package,column shifter , in ebony black...and it was 4x4, one I test drove was 2wd

Nope, mine is a brand new '12 2wd XL with pw, keyless entry, cruise, tow package (not max tow), e-locker, appearance package, aluminum wheels. X plan was about 30, then all applicable rebates came off.
I'm looking at adding an aftermarket DD DVD player, a center console, and maybe painting the bumper cover thing silver (its black now).

Edit: look at Wildcat Ford (its in KY anyway), that's where my truck was traded from, they have a 2wd XL S-crew stickered at $35k and a XLT S-cab for $36k both ecoBoost trucks.

 

Nope, it's not uncommon to get the dealer to come down quite a bit, $10k-12k is not unheard of with the right combination of deals. The last truck I bought I had down $12k before trade in so I only ended up financing a little over half of MSRP.

 

Know what you want and what you will pay for it. My truck had a sticker price of 37,500. I went through the dealer's internet salesman and offered to pay the sticker less 10,000. I got my deal in a matter of hours. Went and drove an EB and a 5.0 exactly alike. Bought the 5.0. You just have to knwo what you are willing to do and stick to your guns. They will sell it to you for the sticker if you are uneducated about the process enough to do so.

 

Mine was an '11 5.0L bought new 5 weeks ago. Dealer dropped 12.5K off the sticker before we even touched my trade.

 

That is the way to do it. Negotiate your best price, one you can accept, then talk trade. Otherwise, by the time they get through manipulating the trade value, you will have no idea what you paid for the new one.
