Because most trucks on the road are not stripped anymore. They are cars. For every 1 person that uses their truck for work, I see 10-20 that are used as cars, much like many of ours.

Hey, I think that the new Dodge truck is pretty neat. I don't think they look half bad. There are a lot of cool gadgets that are on trim levels that I don't look at. Good for the people who are spending 40k plus on their pick up truck.

There are a bunch of vehicles out there that I think are neat. Even that Kia turbo that I keep seeing commercials for. Neat! If I had an endless supply of money, I might buy vehicles that I thought were neat. I don't though, and to be honest, I don't have time for all that gadges that are offered on the higher trim levels of most vehicles. When I'm driving somewhere, I'm busy driving somewhere. When I'm not driving somewhere, I don't have time to tinker with gadgets. I understand others do. More power to them!

I don't like the shift ****. I guess I'm a traditionalist in that regard. Column or floor shift for me please.

The 8 speed transmission sounds cool, but be honest people, is your 6 speed as good at "spirited" driving as the sturdy 4 speed? Slicing up the gears might get better mpg, but when you're in a racing around mood, too many gears gets sloppy. It's too easy to confuse a transmission with more gears. I take it easy now with this 2011 but there is the occasional time when I try to "race" around a bit. It's always short lived because I get annoyed at the transmission "hunting" for a response to my right foot. 8 speeds are cool though.

The new Dodge Ram looks neat and cool, but I'm a Ford guy and the Ram is neither neat or cool enough to change that.

I like the new dodge trucks, I think they are real nice inside and out. I find it hilarious all the people here are saying the trans will fall out. ZF makes the trans for Dodge now. Oh and they also do most of the Ford trans and GM trannys too! ZF builds good stuff. From what I've seen as an Auto Tech is that Dodge and Ford motors are very good, no leaks and no real issues. GM still has a ton of problems and while Id love to have a G8 GXP I could never own one with as many problems that GM has as a whole.

I use mine in the woods. After viewing a bunch of the comparison videos that Ford put out (take those for what they are worth) the coil springs in the back of the Dodge make me nervous about hauling anything heavy or towing a 6000# trailer. Mine does what I ask of it every day. Hard to look over the fence when you know it will get the job done comfortably day in and day out.

Competition breeds innovation.

Just setting the bar higher for other truck companies and for Ford.

Outside has always looked good, the inside sucks and they drive like SH--. I had one a year ago that I borrowed from my dealer, terrible interior and the brakes were horrific.

The same thing that happens when the cable to the shifter breaks. You do realize that electronics typically last longer than mechanical connections, right?

I do like the bagged suspension, if done right it should last a long time and work really well. not sure if i like that transmission shift **** (too easy to go from D to P at the flick of a finger, the column or console shift you have to squeeze then push)

sounds like a good truck....but Id still stick with a Ford.

I didnt really read how they get a smooth ride with the bags but....It would be cool to have bags and air shocks, so when theres no load the bags dont fill completly leaving a smooth ride and the air shocks power up to keep the rebound under control yet you still have a smooth ride, then when its lowered the air in the shocks release lowering it easier....

It's a dodge, even its name tells you to avoid it.

Its just a name change, they are still junk. They either did it because they didn't want their trucks associated with their POS cars, or their cars associated with their POS trucks.

Its as bad as chevy calling all their trucks silverados, back in the day the silverado was the top trim level truck, now it encompasses all light duty trucks regardless of trim level. That would be like ford calling all F150's lariats.

It's was just a joke...hence the 'tongue-sticking-out smiley'.
