I was in your shoes too....the FX4 the wife and I wanted was $6,500 more than my truck. I think I made the right choice. I liked the flow through console on my old truck but I wanted the availability of the seating room. (Wife, Myself, 2 kids + Grandmom & Grandad = 6 seats)

I go tthe speakers form Amazon.com and the Amp from Crutchfield. The amp is a killer to install.....had to play around with a bunch of wires and messed with the crossover to get it just right!

Thanks. Maybe I'll see if Best Buy could do it then. I think I'd make a mess of it. Amps can be a pain. What else are you planning for your truck, BTW?

Added a 2" Rear Block to gain a little more rake back.....deff made a difference!

See pics and info here:

Not the best pic, but you can tell....this pic makes it seem more dramatic than it actually is in person:

I love the truck man its coming along well. I am considering ponying up some cash and getting the painted handles from tasca probably closer to next winter/spring and installing them on mine. My last truck I painted the chrome buckets to match and they looked killer but I am leaning towards just buying them.

THANKS!
Seriously one of the first mods I did....made a huge difference! I might say other than the wheels/tires the handles are my favorite mod thus far!

Go for it!!!!

Yea I am thinking it might be worth the investment based off of how long I plan on owning this truck. Was it difficult to install? And how was that with the door keypad? I have that on mine and was wondering what that entails. Do you have to do anything to re-code the door or is it plug and play and just adopts the existing door code? I'm not too sure how that would work so pardon me if I sound a little ignorant on doing that swap.
