Nitto or Mickey Thompson?

Hey guys. I have a 2010 F-150 STX 4X4 and I had a leveling kit along with some other things done to it and I want to put the next size up on it to fill in extra wheel gap. But I am torn between the Nitto trail grapplers or the Mickey Thompson MTZ . I personally love the way the Nitto looks but have been hearing that Nitto has bad tread life. Any help?? Thanks.

The MTZ doesnt have the best tread life either, so its up to you which you like the best.

Oh really. Well dang alright thanks man I would much rather pay 950 for the Nitto as opposed to 1275 for the MT if they are going to last about the same.

Both are excellent tires. The Nitto's will be quieter on pavement. As for the milage rumor, you may be confusing the Trail Grappplers and the Mud Grapplers. The Mud Grapplers have a long reputation for being extremely loud and wearing quickly.

I had both. I loved everything about the MTZs except I only got 20k miles out of them on my Bronco. I recently replaced them with Duratracs.
I have Trail Grapplers on the F150 and they aren't showing any wear with about 4500 miles on them. If I had to choose between Trail Grapplers or MTZs for a street vehicle I'd choose Trail Grapplers. However, MTZs are better in the mud.

Hey man for a cherry on top.....Go with the Nitro Trail Grapplers you really won't be disappointed!!! Best looking tire and awesome tread life. A buddy running em got about 35000 on em so far and they still look great! Tire pressure, alignment, and a good rotation schedule and they will be worth every penny you spend.
