Good deal for a 2012 Lariat???

I'm about to get back into a Ford after many years away. I've got a deal on the table for a 2012 F150 Lariat 4x4 Crew with Ecoboost. The only options it doesn't have are the chrome and off road packages, but does have the aluminum 20" wheels and the 3.55 gears. Sticker is $49,730 and their best price is $41,730 plus TT&L.

Does this seem like a good deal or should I be able to squeeze a little more out of it? They are also giving me what I need to pay off my trade, which took an aggressive price on my 2009 GMC Z71.

Thanks for any advice!

how much are they paying off on your trade?

we can't say he 8k off is good if they are paying what you are upside down on as well.

but w/ out the trade in the picture it's an alright deal, i'd want another grand or two off of it. If they are paying a couple grand more than your trade is worth then it's a good deal IMO.

I owe right at $27K and according to KBB that's what it's worth. So them offering that is a fair offer I think. It's definitely not a low-ball offer, so that may handcuff them in coming off more on the Lariat.

Invoice is $45,134, so the price is $3404 under invoice. Seems like a good price, but I want to make sure I'm not missing something here.

whats the rebates/incentives? Subtract that from the invoice. Negotiate the doc fee down to $70 or whatever it is on the xplan.

looks like a good deal to me. If they are offering you 7-8k off MSRP which probably the best you will ever do and giving what you want on trade seems good to me. I dont know if squibble over a few bucks on Doc fee.

I would shoot for 10K off sticker personally. At a 20% discount, they are still making plenty of money.

$8000 off may really be the most they can discount right now due to the lack of incentives. I've had 3 different dealerships end up right at $8000 off after a little back and forth. I didn't let any of them know what the best offer I had was either.

we don't know what his trade in is actually worth, so they might be throwing in an extra thousand or two towards that price to get a deal made. It's hard to tell what the actual deal is from an outside observer when we don't have every single fact.

Assuming they are paying more than the truck is worth so he will buy the f150 it's a good deal. If they are paying the minimum i'd pass and wait til i got what my trade in is worth.

What have the trucks in your area been going for? I shopped for about 8 months before I was able to find a guy thay would deal. I found very few dealers willing to do invoice plus rebates on 11s into late december, by feb a few invoice plus deals presented themselves on leftover '11s. Ford wasn't helping either as they were offering about 500-1000 more in rebates on '12s!? The best deal I could find on a '12 was a stripped scab xlt 4wd, that was a few hundred under invoice plus rebates and worked out to about 9k or 10k off msrp before tax. The common line from dealers was to discount msrp a grand or two then throw in the rebates and tell me how they were under dealer cost! I hear about these invoice plus deals on the 'net alot or the ol' 10k off msrp deal... But in my experience they were VERY hard to come by on any truck the average person would want. Without something else going on in the deal.

Anyway Id try to get to invoice before rebates. Doesnt hurt to ask. Good luck.

I think there is some churching up going on. I got a late 11 at invoive and max rebates and was 8 off. to demand 10k off all the time is probably a little off base. But sometimes the more bigger or loaded you go there is more to play with and sometimes there is more room on undesireable trucks.

Sounds like a good deal as far as the F150. Good luck

I'd shoot for invoice, then deduct all rebates. Then get them to throw in some extras.... They need you a whole lot more than you need them.

I got my '12 200 under inovoice, $5250 in rebates and private cash, and then got them to throw in the F150 Rubber Mats.

good idea. Its always good to try to get them to throw in some sweetners. Things like rugs, and oil change, a bed liner, even tint or remote start. These things all have relatively low dealer cost and they think it will make or break your decision, when in reality your mind is made up, these things will just save you a little cash.
