1 Beep, Every 15 Seconds
1 Beep, Every 15 Seconds
My 2010 F150 Lariat Supercrew stated this beep yesterday. Every 15 seconds I get one beep. It seems to be coming from the radio, and the louder the radio is, the louder the beep. Even with the radio off, I can still hear it.
I've done lots of searches on this topic, but they all seem to be related to an airbag system issue, where there are 5 beeps in a row. Mine is just one beep every 15 seconds. Can't find anything in the owners manual about this either.
Any ideas?

Update:
Today I was looking at this issue again. I noticed that the beeping happens every 15 seconds even without the key being in the ignition. I happened to open the door and heard the beep. I had not even got in the truck. So, it appears its not coming through the radio.

You happen to plug in a code reader in the obdII port and check for any stored codes? Would be a good place to start.
It is my understanding that annoying beeps are a backup safety system to warn of a system failure or tampering.

No, never did buy a code reader. Looks like this will give me an excuse to get one. Although since its still under warranty, may just take it to the dealer and let them deal with it. Posted here hoping someone knew what it was.
