2010 TCS question

So I can't recall that when the car starts, should the TCS symbol display shortly next to the odometer?

Mine does not, and I know that if the symbol is solid illuminated it means there is an issue with the system.

A couple of weeks ago, the light did come on and stayed on..but after I stopped and started the car again..it didnt come on steady..so I figured it was a fluke.

Yesterday it was raining and I gave it a bit of gas at a light..and I squealed the tires a bit..yet the TCS didnt kick in. Now maybe I wasnt getting enough wheel spin, but the tires did chirp..so I figured it would have kicked in..

So I'm not sure if I have an issue or not..

Can anyone weigh in on this? (regarding startup/boot up of the car)

Why not roll up in a parking lot someplace, crank the wheel and stomp on the gas pedal. If the truck starts doin figure 8's, hang on and have some fun son. If all systems are normal, there will be no fun had but a wee 'lil chirp, and a sudden loss in engine power.

Ode to the old figure 8 burnouts...... those were the good old days.
