Price hike on eb engine
Price hike on eb engine
I was just building a new Ford F150 on their website and it appears that there has been a price hike to get the eb, it went from $895.00 to $1095.00. Wonder whats up with that.
Bought mine last september and I thought I paid around 1000 I cant be sure. But it's simple economics high demand equals higher cost
I have heard a rumor that the new EB gets 1mpg better?
Overall the engine was out a year they probably had more real world data and looked at warranty work and made a few changes.

I'm looking at getting one this fall, but between the option charge of $1095, and some incentives don't apply to Ecoboost, its a $2100 option! It's not worth that...
(For example currently the $1000 trade in assistance doesn't apply to Ecoboost)

Is it just the EB that is raising the price or is another option bundled in when you make that selection?
I only paid $120 extra for my EB. The pre-release drive event took off $500 and the X-Plan took off $130.

When I ordered mine the price was $47,765 now the price is $48,240 so that is a $485.00 difference I am getting this on the D plan so it is not going to be that much. I went through the invoice for both old build and new build same specs and the only price difference I can find is the increase for the eb engine so the extra cost must be associated with the fuel charge and adv assessment.
BTW you people that think your dealer gave you a free tank of gas think again you payed for it.
I am assuming that I am locked in to get it at the original price that I started out with but if not, well lets just say I will be getting something extra. As far as I can figure there is no incentives or rebates currently on a FX4 but would love to hear if I could get some.

diesel F-150 i think is out the window for the foreseeable future IMO thanks to all the emissions crap being added to them.

I think the big deal is the power on tap plus fuel economy, but I don't really know or have any experience with the EB.....
Almost half of all F150s sold have the EB (47% I think). May as well make a few extra bucks!
I saw the same sales figures in like OCT. EB had what you said. the V6 was getting like 8% and the 6.2 like 4% the rest was the 5.0
