not that I know of. Maybe the lincoln truck if they are still making it. You can get aftermarket but dont know how good they are. HID is mainly a luxury or sports car type thing. Eventually when the technology becomes cheaper and more popular it might trickle down as that's how things work on vehicles. Although u do see them on KIA's and such. But for now I think you are adding an easy almost $500 bucks to a vehicle with this and Im sure Ford and others have done the cost analysis on this and deemed it not worth it at this point. But I must agree I have HID on a camaro and its great

Now that I read everybody's posts I'll throw my 2 cents in when the best time to buy is. What everyone said about rebates and end of year sales is true but if I was in the market for a truck this year I would buy it mid-summer. The only reason why I say that is that if the price of gas is going up to $5 a gallon they'll be giving trucks away. Back in '08 when gas was up over $4/gallon I saw them knock 10, 15, and in some cases even 20k off of the higher end models. They couldn't give them away. Now granted this is based on pure speculation but if you are in no rush to buy you may want to sit tight and see how the gas prices influence the truck market.

Happy truck shopping! After all that's the best part.

Ehhh, IDK. I mean think you are more or less talking about a time when gas went from 2 -$4 a gallon that was huge shock. last summer we were close to 5 and I dont think its going to be shock. Now days we are more conditioned to it. Plus the deals you spoke of were more of the left over models and things like F250's suburbans etc. The way the new F150 specially the EB has selling you are not going to be seeing the fire sales.

Not to pick an argument with you Nards but..... Not sure where you are from but gas wasn't anywhere near $5 last year, near me at least, for me in Pa it was in the $3.25 and less range. Now I don't put diesel or high octane in my truck so maybe that is the difference.

Back then it was the F150s that I saw being mark down along with every other big engine vehicle. And I still thing if the gas prices go up big vehicle prices will go down to some extent. I don't believe people are conditioned to paying $4-5 for gas and I hope that day never comes.

Got to agree with you on that one. Here in SE, PA my local dealer had row after row of F-150's marked down ridiculously sitting on the lot and they weren't moving. That fall of 2008, in October, when the prices went under $3.00/gallon around here, all those marked down trucks suddenly jumped off the dealer's lot. That summer was a slow one for truck sales. Gas never got near $5/gal in SE PA that year, but I remember it hitting over $4/gal for a couple of weeks then the bottom dropped out and prices plummeted to well below $3/gal.

So to the OP, another local SE PA guy, waiting out the summer and the $5/gal gas might just fetch you a great deal. Plus you know gas will come down in price in the fall because the empty suit in chief wants to get re-elected.

Upstate NY gas was a solid 4-4.15 all summer diesel was approaching 5 bucks up here at times. MY maint point was 3 bucks a gallon was a huge shock, I dont beleive that mid 4's to five will be as big.

I still dont see the fire sales that you are talking, F150's are selling hard right now and they will have no reason to drop the prices like you say, and like I said the prices you were talking were on F250's excursions, tahoes, etc.

Ummmm....pretty sure I know the difference between an F150 and a Tahoe or Excursion. So when I said I saw 150s being discounted back in 08 I meant what I said. If they weren't discounted in your neck of the woods that doesn't mean it was like that for everyone else.

Is this what you do to increase your post count...intentionally try to start arguments?

To the OP like I said Happy Truck shopping I hope you find the deal you are looking for!

Thanks for all the posts. I would love to get a 40,000 sticker down to 29,000. whooo! I have been in contact with a few local ford dealers thru their "IN" sales dept. They want me to stop in and well try and order one to my liking. I said I would love to stop buy and see what we come up with but I do not want to b pressured to commit today. They are all like sure no pressure. Yea right, lol...
