Never even noticed any change at all from my 06 XLT to my 11 FX4. Always thought they steered really nice.

 

The only vehicle I've driven with electric steering is a new Fiesta - and I don't like it.

I'm a real dinosaur - I'm not that big a fan of *any* power steering anyway. However, I do see the need for it in a heavy vehicle such as a 1/2 ton truck. My truck has very little true "road feel".

 

It took me a good 2 months of every day driving to get used to it, but now I really like it. The wind compensation works well on my truck, definitely keeps it on course easier than the 04.
