Like I said try to add up all the cost. Even doing a PCV valve thats 5 bucks but how much gas and time did it take you to go to the store and back?

I should have added this earlier but I was in 3 cars in 4 years. Two of them blew head gaskets and werent worth fixing. Between buying replacements and fixes it cost me 15 grand well that car payments would be 14,400 over 4 years. So only a 600 savings, but that 15 grand number doesnt factor in gas to get parts, my time, tow truck pick ups, and just ace pain.

Also you dont have go to new, I know I said earlier that new is cheaper than used, but I think that is more on the 1-2 year old used, but look at 2-3 years old, those seem to drop a little more and still have low miles and warranties. In 2010 I bought a 2008 F250 diesel for 30k out the door with 14k miles on it and warranties till 2012 and 2014.
