I don't think you can get a MAX tow with the 5.0, but you can get a tow package that's good to 9k+.

Yes you can get max tow if you wont them big mirrors which I did not..

I would only get a ecoboost or 6.2.

I feel the same way as you but keep in mind that not everybody needs or wants to go this route

No, MAX Tow requires EB or 6.2.
