buying a new truck next week and i was gonna look tonight and see what truck i wanted and call and put a deposit on it in the morning.. look on the website and the trucks i was looking at went from 36-37500 to 41000-42000 on the website and auto trader listing.. but other trucks on auto trader havent changed at other dealerships.... does anyone know why this is? i always thought ford rebates were state by state but are they different dealers different rebates?

truck i was looking at was 2012 fx4 with luxury package black for 36,000 but now the price is 41155

 

41k sounds right for a fx4 lux, not counting any discounts or rebates. Maybe you were looking at pricing including any applicable rebates before? I don't think a fx4 stripped down will be 36-37k before rebates.

Ford rebates do vary state by state, but are usually the same everywhere. There are NO dealer rebates. It just depends how low you can haggle, any sale or discount items specific to the dealer or use x, a, z-plan etc..

 

I talked to the guy I've been dealin with and he said since I'm buying outta state I'd just pay the 36200+dealer fees and shipping but the prices just jumped up randomly.. 36200 for just lux package and they had some for 37200-38000 for lux package and sunroof etc.. Price is right I'm just wondering how they could jump up so fast after being that low of a price for a while.. 5k$ difference.. Calling him in the morning but just seeing if anybody else has heard of it

 

And yeah the price was 36200 after all rebates but now it's just showing msrp not the rebate price
